Foot & Ankle Pain
Dr. James D. Fontaine
CAUSES OF FOOT & ANKLE PAIN
Your foot and ankle are under quite a bit of biomechanical stress with each step you take. This stress is magnified with activities such as running and jumping. Symptoms of foot and ankle injuries include swelling, redness, localized tenderness and pain with motion and weight bearing. Common sources of pain in this area include joint degeneration, tendon injuries and ligament injuries.
FOOT & ANKLE PAIN TREATMENTS
Common treatments for foot and ankle pain such as rest, ice, bracing and cortisone injections do not treat the underlying cause of the pain. Therapies treat the underlying source of inflammation and pain. If you are tired of persistent foot or ankle pain or have pain that is interfering with your ability to do walk, run or perform other activities you enjoy, then then our treatments may be right for you.
