Hand & Wrist Pain
Dr. James D. Fontaine
CAUSES OF HAND & WRIST PAIN
The ability to use your hands without pain is so important for quality of life. Common symptoms of wrist and hand injuries include localized pain, swelling and pain with motion. Due to repetitive use, hand and wrist pain is often due to degeneration of one or more the many joints that make up the hand and wrist. There are also lots of tendons and ligaments in that area that can get injured.
HAND & WRIST PAIN TREATMENTS
Common treatments for hand and wrist pain such as rest, ice, bracing and cortisone injections do not treat the underlying cause of the pain. Therapies treat the underlying source of inflammation and pain. If you are tired of persistent hand or wrist pain or have pain that is interfering with your ability to do the activities you enjoy, then our treatments may be right for you.
